Pullover in Lana Grossa Cool Wool

Size 36/38 (40/42, 44)
Instructions are given for first size. Figures in parenthesis
refer to larger sizes. When only one figure is given, it applies
to all sizes.
Materials: 500 (550, 600) g of Lana Grossa Cool Wool
(100% pure wool; 160 m/50 g) in Blue Petrol (col 2049). Size
3 and 4.5 mm needles; size 3 mm circular needle, 40 cm long.
1×1 rib: K1, p1.
1×2 rib: K1, p2.
Chart patt: Multiple of 2 + 1. Numbers at right edge of chart
indicate RS rows, numbers at left edge of chart indicate WS
rows. Work rows 1 and 2 once, then rep rows 3 – 6.
Selvage sts: On every row: Knit firs and last st.
Full-fashion decrease: At beg of RS row, selvage st, k1,
p1, k1, p2tog; at end of RS row, work to last 6 sts, p2tog, k1,
p1, k1, selvage st.
Full-fashion increase: On RS row: M1R, 2 sts in from each
edge.
Gauge: 17 sts and 39 rows = 10 x 10 cm in chart patt on size
4.5 mm needles.
Back: With size 3 mm needles cast on 111 (117, 123) sts. Next
row (WS): Selvage st, * k1, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k1, selvage st. Cont in 1×1 rib as established until piece meas 9 cm
from cast-on, decreasing 16 sts evenly across last WS row =
95 (101, 107) sts. Change to size 4.5 mm needles. Next row
(RS): Selvage st, work chart patt over next 93 (99, 105) sts =
work to patt rep, work patt rep 43 (46, 49) times, work to end
of chart; selvage st. Cont to foll chart until piece meas 28 cm
from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Shape raglan: Working
full-fashion dec, dec 1 st at each end of next RS row, then every
4th row 2 times, then every alt 2nd and 4th row 30 times (then
every alt 2nd and 4th row 32 times, then every alt row 3 times /
then every alt 2nd and 4th row 30 times, then every alt row 8
times) = 29 sts. Work 1 WS row. Bind off all sts.
Front: Work same as back to raglan shaping, ending with a
WS row. Shape raglan: Working full-fashion dec, dec 1 st at
each end of next RS row, then every 4th row 1 time, then
every alt 2nd and 4th row 26 times (then every alt 2nd and 4th
row 26 times, then every alt row 4 times / then every alt 2nd
and 4th row 24 times, then every alt row 9 times). At same
time, when piece meas 45 (46, 47) cm from cast-on, shape
neck as foll: Next row (RS): Bind off center 19 sts. Working
each side separately, bind off 3 sts at each neck edge 2 time,
2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times. No sts rem.
Left sleeve: With size 3 mm needles cast on 63 sts. Next row
(WS): Selvage st, * k1, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k1, selvage
st. Cont in 1×1 rib as established until piece meas 9 cm from
cast-on, decreasing 12 sts evenly across last WS row = 51
sts. Change to size 4.5 mm needles. Next row (RS): Selvage
st, work chart patt over next 49 sts = work to patt rep, work
patt rep 21 times, work to end of chart; selvage st. Cont to foll
chart and shape sleeve as foll: Working full-fashion inc, inc 1
st at each end of 15 (13, 11)th row worked in patt, then every
alt 12th and 14th row 9 times (then every 10th row 12 times /
then every 10th row 2 times, then every 8th row 13 times) =
71 (77, 83) sts. Work increased sts into patt. Cont in patt until
piece meas 45 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.
Shape sleeve cap: Working full-fashion dec, dec 1 st at each
end of next RS row, then every 4th row 1 time, then every alt
2nd and 4th row 26 times (then every alt 2nd and 4th row 26
times, then every alt row 4 times / then every alt 2nd and 4th
row 24 times, then every alt row 9 times). Next row (WS): Bind
off 3 sts, work to end. Next row (RS): Dec 1 st at beg of row
only, work to end. Next row (WS): Bind off 2 sts, work to end.
Dec 1 st at each end of next 4 RS rows.
Right sleeve: Work same as left sleeve, reversing cap shaping.
Finishing: Pin pieces to measurements and block. Sew raglan, side and sleeve seams. Collar: With size 3 mm circular
needle, pick up and k 87 sts evenly around neck edge. Place
beg of rnd marker and join for working in rnds. Work 1×2 rib in
rnds for 2.5 cm. Bind off all sts in rib.

Before you begin …
…make a gauge swatch. Use the recommended needles, yarns
and pattern stitch for your gauge swatch. It should measure
approx. 12 cm x 12 cm. Cast-on and bind-off rows, as well as
selvage stitches should not be included in the measurement.
Pin your swatch and block it as you would the finished pieces
of the garment. Count stitches and rows over 10 cm. If your
gauge swatch is too small, switch to larger needles. If your
gauge swatch is too big, switch to smaller needles.
