Embroidered Bouquet Tutorial

MATERIALS:

- 8" square backdrop fabric
- 4" rhizome - cute pink Cosmo brand I use
- Embroidery floss in various colors
- Pattern -

INSTRUCTIVE:

1. Download the pattern and print it at 100% scale (make sure you don't scale up to fit the page or your embroidery will be the wrong size!)

2. Draw the pattern onto the fabric. If you'd like to use my method, check out my tutorial on 'Tracking an embroidery design'

3. Using two strips of embroidery floss throughout, sew as follows:

- Large pink flower: french knot in the middle, satin stitch petals, a few extra stitches of darker red along the leaves to add depth

- Blue flowers: satin stitch

- Blue buds : french knot

- Apricot flowers - lighter satin stitch for flower center

- Yellow buds - satin stitch

- Red buds - french knots

- Pink drooping flowers - long and short stitch

- Handles throughout - back seam

- Leaves - stitch awn
